Just like the Shamrock Club and Proclamation Day, Johnny Marzetti is more than just a dish; it's a Columbus original. Did you know that Johnny Marzetti is named after a real person? Johnny was the brother-in-law of Teresa Marzetti. Teresa owned a restaurant on Broad Street in the early 1900’s and came up with this affordable and filling meal to feed hungry OSU kids for just 45 cents per plate.

If you grew up in Columbus, chances are you can recall the comforting aroma of Johnny Marzetti wafting through your childhood home. Each family has its own unique twist on the recipe, and everyone is convinced that their mom's version is unbeatable.
